As we all know this is a very busy time in the Umrah season and on that note the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released an update about the statistics for this year’s Umrah season.

Among the whole world, Pakistan ranks at the top as 30% of the pilgrims visited the two Holy Mosques to perform the Umrah as of December 13, 2018. Below are the top 10 countries that have been issued umrah visas;

4.      Malaysia

5.      Yemen

6.      Algeria

7.      Turkey

8.      Bangladesh

9.      The United Arab Emirates

10.  Egypt

Here are some more statistics for your knowledge; the total number of Umrah Visas that has been processed up until now are an astounding 2,003,585 out of which 1,519,139 have entered into the country and 1,187,608 have exited the country

Currently the country has 331,531 pilgrims that are currently in Makkah and Madinah performing their Umrah. Out of which 230,991 pilgrims are in Makkah Al Mukaramah and 100,540 in Madinah Al Munwarah.

Now lets talk about how these pilgrims have traveled for their Umrah trip;

There are 3 modes of transportation to perform your Umrah, by air, by land or by sea;

The total pilgrims that have arrived by air are 1,394,051

Only 72 pilgrims have arrived by sea and

The total pilgrims that arrived from land are 125,016

The total number of Saudi male employees employed in Umrah institutions are 7,523

The total number of Saudi Female employees employed in Umrah institutions are 1,524
